Life Update + What I have been Up to

     Hey everyone and welcome back! It has been awhile since I have been on here but with the holidays and then school starting life has been crazy!

     So one of the cool adventures I got to go on to finish 2018 and welcome in 2019, was to go to Hilton Head Island with my family! We stayed at The Inn & Club at Harbour Town. It was the most amazing experience and I would say anyone and everyone should go stay there. The rooms are amazing and the staff are some of the sweetest people. This year we started off our new year by watching the ball drop down the lighthouse at Harbour Town, instead of watching the ball drop in NYC on TV. It was one of the best New Years celebrations I've ever had!

Now that I'm back home and everything has settled down after the holidays, I've started back college! This semester is very different for me. Even though I got into Georgia Southern University for the spring semester, I decided to stay home for one more semester and go to the college here in my hometown while I try to get some more of my core done. I have a lot of different reasons why I decided to stay home for a semester, and so far it has been a great decision.

My classes are definitely harder than I expected for this semester. Two of my classes that I'm taking are math and science which are not my strong subjects, I'm more of an English and Literature class type of girl. But I'm hoping with a lot of studying and hard work, I will at least be able to make it out of the semester with decent grades!

Victorian Tea at Christmas Time + Church Ornament Party

Hello lovelies! Welcome back! We're only 10 days from Christmas, how exciting! Another thing that is exciting is I went to my first Victorian tea time with one of my best friends. The decorations in the hotel were so pretty. It was at the same hotel that I took these pictures at. We got to pick from multiple different bag and loose leaf teas. I went with my usual English Breakfast tea. They brought out so many yummy sandwiches and little desserts. The service was wonderful, everyone was so sweet that worked there. I had a wonderful time catching up and drinking delicious tea with Dianna. 

After we did that, we headed over to our friend's house for our Ladies' Ornament Exchange party. Basically everyone brings an ornament and you can open one and then steal other people's. We also had delicious soup and desserts. It was so nice to spend time with the women of my church. 

I wore my favorite jumpsuit to tea.

Christmas Room Tour

Hey everyone and welcome back to Blogmas! I took a day off from it yesterday to do a fashion blog post, but today I'm showing you my room while its decorated for Christmas! Christmas is my favorite time of the year so I like to go all out for my room. Let's get started!

*disclaimer: Ollie does not stay in his pen. He is a free roam bun and the door on his pen is always open. He goes in and out as he pleases. 

I'm going to go ahead and start with the door! I got this super cute fresh cut tree sign from Michaels and I felt like it just went so well with the theme I had going on for my room. 

Even though I have a stocking in the living room, I wanted Ollie to have a stocking so I got him and me matching stockings to hang on the wall. 

Under the stockings, my hamster, Lulu has a winter wonderland going on. 

 I kept my dresser super simple with these wooden trees and a gnome. 

I'm not going to lie, I'm so obsessed with the gnome trend that is happening this Christmas. 

I couldn't have a real tree or any tree that sat on the floor because Ollie would eat it so I opted for the small fake tree that I could put on my shelf. And then I just sat the elves in front of it. 

I have loved elves ever since I was little because of my "magical" elves that use to come visit me every Christmas season. (Blog post on that tradition coming soon!) 

Ollie's pen is decorated with little lights, gnomes, and signs. Also isn't Ollie just the cutest?!

I just put this little sign on my windowsill. 

 I didn't like how this pillow looked on my bed so I put it near my mirror for a cozy look. 

Here's my side table. The candle is Evergreen from Bath & Body Works and it is my favorite.

Here's an up close look. The llama is from last year and the Merry Christmas pillow is from a few years ago but I will try to find similar ones for y'all.

Hey everyone! I'm a few days  late but I am planning on doing Blogmas. Blogmas is basically where everyday until Christmas you write a blog post on Christmasy things. So to start it out, I decided to do a gift guide for her. I hope you find these helpful!

Velvet Dress + Ladies' Banquet

 Hey y'all and welcome back! I'm so excited to share this outfit with you because it is super affordable and comfortable but still cute! You can wear this dress to something causal such as a date night or you can dress it up for a holiday party. Tonight I went to my church's ladies' banquet so I did a dressy, casual look. I paired it with one of my favorite cardigans and booties. Then I threw on some statement earrings and walked out the door. 

  For the banquet, everyone brought a soup or a cake and then there was singing, games and a speaker. It was so good to take time to see to everyone that I haven't seen in awhile because of my busy schedule. Also, the decorations were absolutely beautiful, I'm sad that I did not get any pictures of them, but I did snap a picture of the hot cocoa bar that they at there just in case y'all might want to use the idea for your own holiday party. It was literally the cutest thing and the hot chocolate tasted so good!
